New certificate file for eMO, ePayment, speednet and Accounts MIS Clients

After 29/09/2013 eMO, ePayment, speednet  and Accounts MIS Clients were not transmitting due to PTC Mysore certificate has been expired.


   Solution: Solution provided by PTC Mysore.

   1. Download certificate from the link provided in the blog.

   2. Kindly register the certificate by double clicking on the file RegisterCACft.exe
   3.This certificate is not appicable for R NET COMMUNICATION.

Problem: While booking Speed Post BNPL article booking at SpeedNet module it shows Article prefix error.. This Article Prefix is not allotted to your circle 

Solution:

Go to Speed Net Supervisor 
                                          > Master 
                                                       > Circle wise Barcode 

                                                                                       > Click on Update

Now we can book BNPL Articles without prefix problem...

Step by Step Procedure to Update Speed 4.0

Download Speed Net 4.0 from CEPT, Mysore - FTP

Download all files listed above i.e Speednet 4.0 ReadMe.txt , SpeedOne Installer.exe, SpeedOne Updater.exe.

Read carefully Speednet 4.0 ReadMe.txt file. If time not permits to read kindly follow the instruction below

SpeedOne Updater: execute from Server - It contains Scripts and DB Updates and Speed Net Client 4.0 Software updates for server.

1. No need to run from Client PC.
2. One time Execution is enough.
3. Auto execution and Updation added.

SpeedOne Installer: It contains SpeedNet Client/ Server/ Communication updates.

1. Take backup of SpeedNet Communication and server folder.

2. Un-install Speed Net Communication and SpeedNet Server Component from your machine.

3. Execute SpeedOne Installer from C:\ (or) D:\ (or) E:\ drive

4. Now Select and Install / update SpeedNet 4.0.

Note: No Need to execute  SpeedOne Installer > SpeedNet Client from Server if already updated using SpeedOne Updater.

Despatch 7.8 Update R Net Hubmaster

Problem:

                 After update 7.8 while open Despatch It ask update R Net Hubmaster through R Net Communication, but request many times there is no response from R Net Communication.

Solution:

1. Take Counter database backup

2. Run attached script by script tool.

3. Give a fresh office master and hub master request through r net communication once again and wait for some time.

4. Upon receipt of the office master please update it through Despatch Supervisor.

5. Leggin as operator in despatch application and check the status.

Error:

           After update SpeedNet 4.0 while invoice Speed Post Articles it shows an error message as Could not find stored procedure 'ValidateBRSPBarcode'.

If auto bar code option is enabled in SpeedNet invoice for delivery, it will automatically closed after scanning / Entering the Article. 

Solution:

Stored Procedure could not find 'ValidateBRSPBarcode' in SpeedNet 4.0 because of improper upgradation/ incomplete updates with error.

Kindly follow the instruction to do Successful SpeedNet 4.0 update, if you are facing the above error:

1. Download Extracted SpeedNet 4.0 exl from Potools/ Extract exl from SpeedNetOne Updater.

2. Execute Scripts using Script tool manually. If u have any errors send to CEPT, Mysore for solution.

3. After successful script updation. check and share the result with PoTools.

Please do for this procedure

Go to run
Write regedit in run box
Then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Then go to system >>>>>     current control set    >>>>>     control   >>>>>>    LSA
And then Regedit and set limitblankpasswords to zero
Regedit and set restrictanonymous to zero
be sure that the Guest account is activated
be sure that permissions are granted for the folder
share the drive as well as the folder (you are not allowed to set permissions settings on the drive)
disable simple file sharing
disable the firewall
add a password for yourself on both machines because anonymous users cannot access a shared drive.


None of these proposals along with several others that I tried ever worked.

However, I stumbled across a Security change that did work:
1. From Control Panel choose Administrative Tools> Computer Management> Storage> Disk Management
2. Right click on the drive in question
3. Choose Properties and click the Security tab
4. Click the Everyone User Group and notice that the Permissions for Administrators boxes are not checked.
5. Click on the Allow> Full Control box and then the Apply button at the bottom.
6. You can check the other users and groups in this window and allow them full use also.
7. Click OK and exit the Security window.
8. You now should be allowed access to the drive via sharing on the Workgroup network.
