Meghdoot Millennium Software error in windows 7 



While opening Meghdoot Module it shows an warning message as "Class not Registered"

Method 1: 

Download tool for register Point of sale, Speednet, Treasury dlls

Install MDAC from Meghdoot 7.0 Support folder.
If Problem Not Fixed Try Method 2.

Method 2:
Run SFC scan. System File Checker (sfc) scan will make Windows replace corrupt or missing system files on your computer.

Steps to perform sfc scan:

  • Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator.
  • Click Continue or supply Administrator credentials if prompted.
  • In the Command Prompt window type the following, and press Enter:
  • sfc /scannow

DBAnalyzer for Sanchay Post

DBAnalyzer has a new feature to generate a consolidated report of all discrepancies in the database. Unzip the additional exe & all the DLL files included in the DBAnalyzer zip file and copy to the DBAnalyzer folder.

NOTE: Generation of Consolidated Report is a TIME CONSUMING PROCESS. All offices are advised to generate this report after completing the daily routines like DAY-END process, Database Backup, etc.

Negative List Updation Patch - Updated upto 30/06/2013
 
This patch file updates the negative list available in Sanchay Post software. To confirm updation, use the "Database Discrepancies >> NSC >> Details of Negative List Updation" option available in DBAnalyzer software.
 
The file 'NL_20130630.exe' should be copied to DBAnalyzer folder and executed after completion of day's transactions. This will update the negative list upto 30/06/2013  in Sanchay Post.

In addition to Negative List, updations relating to PINCODE details are also done in the database. Hence, execution of this patch will take longer than the usual updation time. System Administrators should ensure that the server is not switched off till successful execution of the patch.

USB Printing for Meghdoot Millennium


Meghdoot MillenniumApplications/Software’s Support USB Printing. Most of us are not aware of this . Some of the servers availablewith Post offices only support usb printing. They does not have LPT1 or COM Ports.Yesterday in one of my office solved this USB printing problem with a simple tweak.
For USB Printing
To enbale USB Printing for Meghdoot Applications. First Install the printer with usb port. We can select the port by arrow keys while installing. Or we can configure the port after installation of printer in LPT.

For this Right click The Selected Printer.
Select the tab Ports
Select the USB Port. Click on Apply/OK
Your printer is configured with usb port
Then Just Share the Printer(This is very important. USB printing from Megh softwares supports only if the printer is shared)
After sharing Just logout form Meghdoot Modules and relogin and print the reports

Network printer has problems printing – You do not have permission to use selected printer


When you have a network of two or more computers in your house, it is very easy to then connect one printer to facilitate both computers. This is a network printer. It can be a normal printer connected to one of the computers and the other computer accesses the printer over the network.
However sometimes there can be errors. Apart from the obvious errors which be just simply having the settings wrong, there is another common error when dealing with a network printer.
It is a driver problem. Sometimes the main computer needs some persuading to share the printer driver with the new computer.
ERROR: You do not have permission to use the selected printer. If you need access, contact your network administrator:
This error can occur when trying to use the newly installed network printer. See the screenshot below.


How to fix this network printer problem “ERROR: You do not have permission to use the selected printer. If you need access, contact your network administrator”:
  1. Open the printer and faxes folder from the start menu or the control panel.
  2. Delete the network printer that does not work.
  3. Right click in the blank space and choose add printer from the menu. If there is a left sidebar menu then choose add printer from there.
  4. Now the Add printer wizard will appear. Press next.
  5. Then select an option that describes the printer you want to use.
  6. Choose local printer attached to this computer and press next.
  1. Now put a check in the box use the following port.
  2. Press the arrow to see the dropdown menu. See if your printer path is there.
  3. Select it if it is.
  1. If it isn’t there check the box next to create a new port. See screenshot below.
  2. Now choose local port from the dropdown menu and then press next.
  1. Type in your path to your network printer in the section where it says Enter a port name.
    • Your network printer path is and then the name of the computer the printer is installed on, then and then the printer share name.  See Add Network Printer for more details.
  2. After you have typed the correct network printer path you will be asked to choose your printer from a list or press on have disc to install a driver.

  1. If you have a printer driver disc make sure it is in the cd drive.
  2. Then you will be asked to name your printer.
  3. Now you must choose if you want to share this printer. As it is already shared from another computer it is not necessary to press on share. It is this computer that is borrowing the use of it..It is not yours to share.
  4. Complete the rest of the wizard, and then click Finish.

SQL Server not starting(SQL 2000)


One day when I started the server I got a message. Microsoft SQL server not starting. While Restarting the SQL server it is not possible. Mostly SQL Server is not starting because master database is corrupted. Since SQL server is not started we cant restore the master database.

If you have SQL Server 2000 CD then you can restore the master database. Insert the SQL SERVER 2000 CD. Then go to 



MY Computer ->
C:\  DRIVE -> Program Files -> Microsoft SQL Server -> 80 -> Tools -> -Binn -> rebuildm.exe


Double click on rebuildm.exe then you have to show the path of DATA folder from the CD

(ie Browse the CD open the folder---*86--------DATA)

After this you can connect/ start SQL server. The restore the master database with the backup(Previous Days). Then you can re start Sql server 2000. and start working all the Applications

msdb Database Suspected\Corrupted-Solution (SQL 2000&2005)


In Sql server 2000
you start the server with trace flag 3608.In SQL Server Enterprise Manager, right-click the server name, and then click Properties.
  1. On the General tab, click Startup Parameters.
  2. Add the following new parameter:
    -c -m -T3608
After this restart the sql server and detatch the msdb database and move the mdf and ldf files from the default folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\DAta
Then recreate msdb file by executing in new query window
instmsdb.sql (C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Install)
Then remove-c -m -T3608 from the startup parameters in SQL Server Enterprise Manager
Then stop and restart the sql server 2000
and then recreate the maintenance plans
In SQL Server 2005
Detach the msdb database and install/create new msdb database. This will solve the problem. But the problem is that SQL Server 2005 does not allow to detach a system database. This will be solved by the following
another way is (you start the server with trace flag 3608. )
Start--------------Sql Server 2005-------------Configuration Tools----------SQL Server Configuration Manager
Then click on SQL server 2005 services.-----On the right side----Right click on SQL Server----Select Properties
Click on the Advance Tab and change the Parameters of Start up Parameters ie please add -m;-c;-T3608 in front of the existing parameter.

Then restart SQL server
detach the msdb database by query
use master
go
sp_detach_db ‘msdb’
go
and click Execute
Then move the existing mdf and ldf files of msdb from” C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data “
Then recreate msdb files open the nstmsdb.sql in a new query window and execute.The file is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Install
Then your msdb is restored. Before restarting the sql server remove the parameters (-
m;-c;-T3608 )Then restart the sql server. Be and recreate the new maintenance plan.

Problem:  Office Name Not shown in RB
 
             In Despatch Module after update 7.3.2 while printing RB(Register Bundles) Office Name not shown in second line.
Solution:

  • Download Despatch from potools.
  • Replace old one.

CLASS NOT REGISTERED ERROR

Meghdoot Millennium Software error in windows 7

DESPATCH MODULE ERROR : INVALID PROPERTY VALUE :
Error:
          while updating office master updation in despatch module it shows error "Invalid property value". 

                         


Solution:
           
  • Take backup RNet Communication folder and uninstall.
  • Install RNet Communication in some other drive. 
  • Request for office master data through RNet communication.
  • Once it is received, please update the using Despatch module.
POSTMAN DATABASE NOT AVAILABLE

n treasury module while entry in postman returns error shown 'POSTMAN DATA BASE IS NOT AVAILBLE QUITTING'

Solution:


Run the following query using query analyzer
Note:replace ‘myserver’ with your server name

exec sp_serveroption @server='myserver', @optname='rpc', @optvalue='true'
go
exec sp_serveroption @server='myserver', @optname='rpc out', @optvalue='true'
go





DB analyzer Consolidated report ERROR

Problem:
             Most of the Post office while running DB analyzer Consolidated report adp13m6.exe not open/ closed immediately after open cmd window from the DB Analyzer version 02/07/2013 itself. 


Solution:
  • To execute Consolidated report in Db Analyzer minimum requirement is .Net frame work 3.5.
  • Download .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 download from Microsoft website.
  • Install Into your windows operating system i.e Windows 2003 server, Windows XP.



Note: To run DB Analyzer Consolidated Report .Net Framework 3.5 Should be installed in the same Machine

Note: No Need to install .net framework 3.5 SP1 for Windows vista and windows 7 or higher version.

With out .Net framework 3.5 DB analyzer Consoldated Report not possible.

SLOW PRINTING PROBLEM OF EPOSON LX 300 + PRINTER IN MM 7.3
Problem:
             While Printing Receipts/ Reports from Meghdoot Millennium its getting delay via LPT port in Windows 7/ Windows 2008. It takes more time for single transaction and customers getting tense.
Solution:

  • To overcome the above Problem we have to change printer driver.
  • Many drivers has been tested by PoTools finally found "Generic IBM Graphics Driver".


Procedure to Change from Epson LX300+ driver into Generic IBM Graphics Driver:

 Go to Devices and Printers. Right Click Epson LX-300+/II printer Properties.
Click Advanced Tab > New Driver.
Select Manufacturer as Generic > Printers as Generic IBM Graphics 9 Pin.
Now Epson LX-300+/II Changed into Generic IBM Graphics 9 Pin.
Now Meghdoot Prints Report & Receipts faster than Epson LX 300 Driver.

Note: Generic text only Printer not support other than characters like Round MO in eMO form. So Generic IBM Graphics 9 Pin driver is perfect for graphics.
